Skilling & Employment at Ropes Crossing joining employment and training providers with job seekers

Ropes Crossing is part of a three-stage development being built on a 1,545 hectare site at St Marys in western Sydney.  Each stage is surrounded by the 900 hectare Regional Park. Construction commenced in December 2004.  It will be home to more than 13,000 residents at its expected completion in 2021 and will generate approximately 5,300 ongoing jobs in the region.  A further 8,000 jobs will occur as a result of the construction program.

As a fully masterplanned community Ropes Crossing will include business and employment opportunities in education, retail, local commercial, light industrial, community services and recreation.

The Skilling and Employment Centre, a community initiative of Delfin Lend Lease, provides free support, advice and facilities to local jobseekers.  It facilitates links between employers and job seekers to employment and training opportunities occurring at the development site, within the new community and in the local area.
